July 1908. Jack Dallas made several ascents in J.Strobel's airship over the city during the Calgary Exhibition. Unfortunately the craft was destroyed by fire during an inflation.
By this account it appears this J. Strobel toured the North America fair circuit doing balloon demonstrations for several years during that period.
