We used to make things in this country. #216: HMCS Thiepval

The HMCS Thiepval was a naval trawler built in 1917, the seventh ship built at the Kingston Shipyards. This class of ship was used for antisubmarine patrols off Canada's east coast during WW1. Decommissioned at the end of the war she was reactivated in 1923 for use as the Pacific Ocean support vessel for a round-the-world flight attempt by British pilot Stuart Maclaren.  In 1930 Thiepval struck a rock off the BC coast and was sunk.
