Wigginton Voltmeter

What an interesting-looking device!
The Wigginton Voltmeter used a solenoid-activated movement patented in 1918. The movement is very rugged and not easily damaged by high voltage, the downside is that it does not support other functions such as amperage or resistance.

I see it was "for intermittent duty only" so it was clearly intended to be used now and then when nothing more interesting was going on.
