Gripping Tales: Witherby, Sheffield, England

Below, three pliers made in Sheffield, England:



The water-pump pliers at the bottom have the following mark:


The slip-joint pliers above them are marked as follows, looking very similar to the mark above:


They also have the handle pattern below:


The diagonal cutters at the top are marked "Sheffield England" around the pin, and have an identical handle pattern to the slip-joint pliers:


So, I'd guess all three pliers were made by the same Sheffield firm, presumably "Witherby".  However, I can find absolutely no information on such a tool maker.  Curious indeed.
